Keane is actually Piano Rock and formed in 1995. The group consists of composer, bassist, and pianist Tim Rice-Oxley, lead vocalist Tom Chaplin and drummer Richard Hughes. “Somewhere Only We Know” became number three on the UK Singles Chart in 2004. In late October 2006, Rice-Oxley collaborated with Gwen Stefani as a co-writer of the song “Early Winter”, released later in 2007, and “The Sweet Escape, as well as two more tracks.
